Kitten
Purchase Price
IMPORTANT : By paying the deposit/balance, the Buyer
accepts the following : Breeder and Buyer retain the right to cancel
this contract, up to the time that the kitten has been delivered to the
Buyer. In such instances, all moneys paid by the Buyer to the Breeder will
be refunded by the Breeder.
Raglin Ragdolls do not practice non-refundable deposits
because we do not force prospective kitten buyers to continue with a
kitten purchase if they don't want to, or no longer
can.
Why
do purebred
registered kittens cost as much as they do? I hope that by listing some
of our expenses, it will help prospective kitten buyers to understand that
reputable, caring and honest breeders will never make a profit by
breeding cats. If they do,
then we would like to know the "secret recipe"!
What your Raglin bred Ragdoll kitten purchase price

Unexpected veterinary expenses that should also be
covered by the “profit” of a Raglin bred Ragdoll kitten’s purchase
price:
-
C-sections (emergency and/or planned)
-
veterinary treatment of pyometra (infection of the uterus)
-
cost of hand-raising a litter should queen be unable to raise her
kittens
Expenses that will never be re-covered by the “profit”
part of your Raglin bred Ragdoll kitten purchase price:
-
cost of importing purebred Ragdoll studs/queens
-
cost of stud quarters
-
cost of electric fencing to ensure safety of our
Ragdolls
-
maintenance/wear & tear of washing machine, tumble dryer,
dishwasher, vacuum cleaner, computer, printer, digital
camera
-
time!
There are many more “hidden costs” and I will add to
the above lists, as and when I remember them!
I do not “shop around” for the cheapest vet, nor do I
compromise the health of my cats or kittens by treating my cats/kittens
myself for ailments that should receive veterinary care.
I do not believe that vaccinating my kittens/cats
myself is in the best interest of the cat/kitten, nor in the best interest
of the new kitten owner.
I believe that each cat should receive at least one
veterinary health check per year, and kittens should be health checked by
a vet with every vaccination as well as prior to the spay/neuter
procedure.
Always
remember : goedkoop is duurkoop!
(Translation : a
bargain is not always a bargain!)
